Many things are said about the world future, the efforts of many negative leaders to make world citizens believe in the war as a way of responding to the socio-economic and political handicaps is definitely ruining the confidence between the state and the people. The socio-economic system of the capitalism is based on the confidence of the investors in the states and enterprises. What happens when we make a world with no trust in the destiny? The European Union must return to be the socio-economic and political model that stands up for the human's rights. This year the fight against the nuclear war was the winner of the peace Nobel; this makes us understand the importance of the effort for finalizing with the scare propaganda that helps negative leaders on their attempt of manipulating people. The European Union in the close future must return to be the governmental unit that incentive the international dialogue to reach the peace between the nations.
It will not be the first time that the European Union raises for a socio-economic and political handicap. According to the Doctor in political science and honorary fellow of the University of Edinburgh Luis Moreno, the Doctor in political science of the Universidad Computense de Madrid and titular scientific at the institute of politics and public benefits of the CSIC Eloísa del Pino, the Doctor in sociology of the Universidad de Barcelona Pau Marí-Klose and the Doctor in Political Science of the Universidad Autónoma the Madrid and titular scientific at the institutive and public benefits Francisco Javier Moreno Fuentes: “If we take into account the subsequent European trajectory after the Second World War, the democracy construction is intrinsically linked with the social and civil rights guarantee” (Moreno et al., 2014). If the state guarantees an environment in which the people needs are never rejected and are always respected, the unnecessary stress will be released, the work in hands of the company’s workers will be better and their civic responsibility will increase. This was the ideal that generated confidence in the inversion on the European enterprises that little by little reached a sensation of quality on an international ambit. The bet for developing enterprises on the European territory generated not only a sensation of trust between the economical investors but trust between the civils that invested in the state. In this order, citizens that had time to think in other matters than surviving where capable of developing sustainable and ethical competence in an enterprise matter.
A model of a state in which the comfort zone is evaded guides the need of developing new and better ways of living. A former parable of unknown author refers to this thought by making an analogy between it and this idea:
“A long time ago, a Monk set out on his travels accompanied by his assistant, a Brother. The night was falling when the Monk told the Brother to go on ahead to find lodging. The Brother searched the deserted landscape until he found a humble shack, in the middle of nowhere. A poor family lived in the hovel. The mother, father, and children were dressed in rags. The Brother asked if he and the Monk could spend the night in their dwelling. “You are most welcome to spend the night,” said the father of the family. They prepared a simple meal consisting of fresh milk, cheese and cream for the Brother and the Monk. The Brother felt moved by their poverty and even more by their simple generosity.
When they finished eating, the Monk asked them how they managed to survive in such a poor place, so far away from the nearest neighbors and town. The wife looked at her husband to answer. In a resigned tone of voice, he told them how they managed to survive. ‘We have one cow. We sell her milk to our neighbors who do not live too far away. We hold back enough for our needs and to make some cheese and cream-that are what we eat.”
The next morning, the Brother and the Monk said their goodbyes and set out to continue their journey. After the Monk and the Brother had walked a few miles, the Monk turned to the Brother and said, “Go back and push the cow off the cliff!” “Father,” the Brother replied, “they live off the cow. Without her, they will have nothing.” The Monk repeated his order “go back and kill the cow.”
With a heavy heart, the Brother returned to the hovel. He worried about the future of the family because he knew they depended on the cow to survive. His vow of obedience bound him to follow the orders of the wise Monk. He pushed the cow off the cliff.
Years later, the young Brother became a Monk. One day he found himself on the same road where he found lodging so many years ago. Driven by a sense of remorse he decided to visit the family. He rounded the curve in the road and to his surprise, he saw a splendid mansion, surrounded by landscaped gardens, in the place where the hovel used to be. The new house exuded a sense of prosperity and happiness. The Monk knocked on the door.
A well-dressed man answered. The Monk asked, “whatever became of the family who used to live here? Did they sell the property to you?” The man looked surprised and said he and his family had always lived on the property. The Monk told him how he had stayed in a hovel on the same spot, with his master the old Monk. ‘What happened to the family that lived here?” he asked.
The man invited the Monk to stay with him as his guest. While they ate, the host explained how the family’s fortune changed. “You know Father, we used to have a cow. She kept us alive. We didn’t own anything else. One day she fell down the cliff and died. To survive, we had to start doing other things, develop skills we did not even know we had. We were forced to come up with new ways of doing things. It was the best thing that ever happened to us! We are now much better off than before.”
War has become the cow of the humans and if we do not evade it we will not progress. War is the product of the mistrust and as long as there is lack of trust there will be war. In a world where war is the only thing trustable, people will invest in war, and soon war becomes the only good negotiate. In this order people lives become invaluable, civilians work and live with little sense of living, this generates unhappiness and stress that damages economy, social relations, and the politics. If there is no confidence because of the imposed fear, there will not be capable humans or dynamic economies. We cannot negotiate with human’s rights because there are the ones that give the only valuable confidence in dynamic economies and successful countries.
The fear strategy has become the way to reach the subsequent irrational decisions taken in the last years by people that have fear of change. In Colombia's plebiscite of 2016, Colombians voted no to dialogues that pretended to end the war because of an imposed fear to inexistent socio-economic systems as FARC-SANTOS and CASTROCHAVISMO. The political analyst, associate investigator in transitional justice of the University of Oxford, associate investigator in peace process at the University of Sussex, Doctor on international relations and Magister in contemporary wars and peace studies of the University of Sussex Andrei Gomez Suarez, talks in his
book "El Triunfo del no" (Gomez, A. 2016) about the systems that reach a polarization of the political economy affective dispositions by imposing the circulation of emotions such as: indignation, fear, rage and uncertainty. People that have no education on critical responsibility assume ad hominem arguments and argumentative fallacies as veracities and defend polarized positions such as violent resolutions.
In a social regime in which it is necessary the imposition of terror, the importance of an education that bets on critical responsibility under the framework of social welfare are an obstacle to the success of the war enterprise. A person that conceives new manners to respond to handicaps and necessities will not permit war as a way, in fact, people that are prepared under the real framework of participative democracy are under the right to receive an education under which they are prepared to question positions and develop projects that are competent to participate in the state development. Under a regime of terror is necessary to educate people that do not question for the correct function of the war negotiate but this does not permit a real human nor economical evolution. The necessity of war the war in a socio-political state of democracy is incoherent and not only incoherent; it violates the sense of the democratic state, the non-corrupt functioning of the free market and the work of intergovernmental institutes such as the United Nations.
We have been mocked by an illusory evolution in which the technology evolves thanks to the work of a little part of people while we all think we are evolving together as a species, but ideals have stayed the same since siècles. Developing new ways of responding and questioning is the real way to evolve as a species and to construct a world of prosperity. Only when an individual recognizes his true necessities and only when he reaches the true state of liberty and development he can evolve. The human has been characterized by history for being a species capable to signify them self and satisfied necessities in real time. But this development has been limited since the time in which they cannot recognize which are the new evolution terms and has lost their capacities of modification in real time.
In conclusion, many things are said about the future of the world; it seems like nowadays world leaders tent to have a pessimist discourse about tolerance, dialogue, human rights defending and democracy sense is disappearing thanks to the misuse of the term. Little sense of living is being seen in every space of life. Civilians are not receiving the correct education in ethical leadership and critical responsibility and this lead to lack of creative questioning and creative resolution to that questioning. The better bet is to bet for an economy of the free market in which there are an ethical competence and education in critical responsibility. Experts have already talked about the importance of rights guaranteed to promote a participative democracy in which citizens are able to develop competent projects that can be used in several international handicaps. The war negotiate is sustainable thanks to the poor education in ethical and positive leadership and a terror propaganda that polarizes and closes the solutions to political, economic and social obstacles. If countries leaders are interested in developing projects that evolve the social, economic and political stagnation is important to bet for correct education. It seems like we have not understood that democracy and capitalism work with trust and confidence because we have bet for fear instead to bet for a stable economy. The European recuperation after Second World War has already shown the results of a commitment to the defense of human rights, little and big investors prefer investing in something that gives them ethical confidence. We are capable of evolving again as a species if we live our medium to mediocrity; countries are capable of creating better paths to successful economies. What makes us humans is humanity and what leads humanity principles is the respect for human rights. The bet on a nuclear war stops the confidence and threatens all the human living sense. If life is not worth then there is no sense to politics, economy or social relations. Future may not be certain and many things are said but we all are conscious that the better future Europe is a Europe that bets on real development and fights against human rights violations with dialogue.
